About JJ Creative
JJ Creative started during Covid after I was made redundant — with an almost two-year-old at home and absolutely no real plan.
Graphic design for businesses that need someone creative to bring their ideas to life.
Then something unexpected happened.
Erm… yes.
Old colleagues started asking what I was up to
“Not much,” I said. “I’d love to get back into design.”
Their reply?
“Funny you should say that… our company uses an agency for artwork, but I’d rather you did it. Would you be interested?”
And that’s how JJ Creative began.
Throwing the towel in didn’t feel like an option though. Graphic design was the one thing I knew I could do well. I’d spent years doing it professionally, and before that I’d spent some very happy years working at Marks & Spencer on the tills and in the café. I genuinely loved it there.
But with a young child, a husband working weekends, and the general chaos of Covid, going back into retail just wasn’t something I could realistically commit to.
So I bought a MacBook, invested my redundancy money in Adobe Creative Suite.
What I do
I help businesses communicate their ideas through thoughtful,
well-designed visuals.
Sometimes that’s a full brochure or company profile or it’s fixing a photo, designing a quick advert, or creating social media graphics. I also help individuals and small businesses build, design and launch websites.

I’m always happy to talk through ideas, offer advice, or point you in the right direction — even if you’re still figuring things out.
The only thing I’m not particularly keen on is 6am networking meetings in hotels next to random roundabout in Garforth.
Nothing against them… they just feel a bit strange to me.
I much prefer working with real people, having proper conversations, and creating design that actually helps businesses.

Booking It In
To get started, I take a deposit
(usually 30–50% depending on the project). It secures your slot and means I can give your project my full attention.
I’ll get to work on initial ideas and concepts — this is where things start to come to life.
You’ll have time to review everything and we’ll refine it together until it feels spot on.
Once everything’s signed off, I’ll send over your final designs, ready to use wherever you need them.
(And… I might cheekily ask for a testimonial — no pressure, but it really helps!)
Most people come back when they need more design work, updates, or new ideas — which is exactly what I want. I’m in it for the long run, not just a one-off job.
